In the loving memory of Dr. Sharad Sapra
"Innovation is an attitude which anyone could have"

                                                                     -Dr. Sharad Sapra

With heavy hearts we mourn the loss earlier this year of one of the most talented and well-known names in UNICEF globally - Dr Sharad Sapra. Dr Sharad, originally from Gwalior, was an innovator and visionary in the true sense. He conceptualized and started the U-Report movement in 2011 in Uganda. Dr Sharad was also behind many innovations that UNICEF is now a proud custodian of.

U-Report - one of his many successes, is now available in 95 countries with over 29.5 million (2.9 crore) U-Reporters. This clearly shows how an idea, with good intentions and positive effort can not only turn into a revolutionary platform but can also help young people across the world to raise their voice on the issues that matter the most to them.

National Event Highlights

U-Report India is pleased to present the highlights of the national event held in New Delhi in October last year upon the successful crossing of 2 million enrolments of young U-Reporters across India who have committed to be the voice of change. The event was full of energy and enthusiasm, and it inspired hope to the many young U-Reporters about the future of U-Report.
